I've only listened to the new Alder and Elius EP once at a friend's house but I really liked what i heard and I'm up for buying a copy from one of you who say it sucks. In fact, this topic has kind of pissed me off. I am not saying everyone needs to like everything I do but it seems all anyone ever does is talk about how bad everything sucks. It is really getting pointless: Schematic? nothing but wannabe-autechre crap. ---I love Ischemic Folks and if i had listened to what everyone said I wouldn't have given it a snowball's chance in hell. Chocolate Industries? *see Schematic* --- I like what I've heard (Funkstorung, East Flatbush remixes, Guineo) Autechre? everything but amber sucks. --- EP7? Am I the only one who likes it at all? Seems like it. Skam? Oh what, 2 good things? everything else is crap--- I haven't heard all the Skam stuff but I have liked almost everything I've heard (Gescom, Bola, BoC, Jega, PBO, Skampler) Lexaunculpt? ---oh wait, it's still ok to like him. nevermind. Warp? Music has the right was decent, and some 2LS but that's all the good post-ai stuff. ---i think i have made my point. I really would like the guy who called the Key Nell EP "the crappiest shit fuck i ever heard out of Skam until now" to try to give a decent intelligent arguement for this rather than using descriptions like "crappiest shit fuck." It's one thing to buy into the hype over every Skam or Warp thing but to dismiss it is also stupid. I assume most of the excessive negativity comes from a lot of the jaded old-school people who've been listening to this kind of music forever.
