well it was originally Michael Fakesch's (of Funkst?rung/MAS) idea to put
out the MASKs
in the 1st place, in collaboration w/ Skam. Mike did all the work in
putting MASK 1&2
together. there were originally only 2 planned at the time. anyhow, Andy
from Skam then goes
and starts releasing Mask 300, 400 and 500 w/out permission or even
consulting Musik Aus Strom
at all. and so the two labels don't talk anymore really.
thats sort of why people refer to them as MASK 1, 2, 300, 400 and 500
instead of
MASK 100, 200, 300, 400 and 500, so to differentiate between the
collaborative ones
and the ones that are Skam alone. in essence 300, 400 and 500 are purely
Skam and have
nothing to do w/ MAS at all.
