My friend Ben is living in London for a semester through Drury University here in Missouri. I told him about the Warp Anniversary party that was sold out and told him that he must get tickets "by any means necessary." He wrote back and said that he sent a plea to the address that BOC provides. A plain envelope came back that said "Dear Ben, Thanks for the letter and enjoy the show." Inside were tickets to the show. Of course, there is no reason for anybody out there to believe this and merely copying his message to the list doesn't prove anything. But Ben is a pretty solid guy and has little motivation for lying. Anyway, at the very least, it's a nice story considering some figures in IDM are rumored to be a little rude (wasn't everybody talking about Derrick May and his rudeness?) Who else has had any positive encounters with the seminal figures in IDM? John ===== __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yup, I'll concur with that. Both nice guys. Actually, I can only think about maybe one IDM artist or label person who wasn't supafly (and no, I won't name names). Granted most of the folks I deal with are with pretty small labels or straight-up indie, so they haven't had a chance to develop an ego yet. :) But all in all, this "scene" is a pretty friendly one. i would second this. michael fakesch is a very cool guy. very down to earth. and so is chris de luca. i got to meet them this summer in chicago. also met lexaunculpt, who is also a very cool guy. and met kit clayton, who wasnt so cool. he was pretty full of himself i thought. havent met any other idm stars. later, greg davis autumn records www.amug.org/~jkdavis/autumn

I can only second these remarks. Jeff has answered a number of stupid questions, and michael fakesh personally got k7 to send me the posters from the othermusic gig. The foreign terrain guys have been real cordial as well, in recent conversations.

geez I feel so loved...well except for my girlfriend dissing me in public (sorry for personal intrusion..apparently we have nothing better to do at Ninja than burn each other in public forum...it was a joke honest!). On that note, next year is the 10th anniversary of Ninja Tune so watch for various fun shit and giveaways. If anyone has any funky anniversary like suggestions of cool shit we could do let me know so I can ad them to the internal list that's circulating (if we use your idea we'll hook you up with some swag). Send all ideas no matter how stupid...you never know what a bunch of idiots like us might go for. Keep on keeping on, carry on my wayward son, etc... Jeff

Originally they Musik Aus Strom were just pissed off about mask 300 -500, which they had nothing to do with, even though they wanted to be.
