jason from suction asked me to post this to idm. a few people have emailed him directly after Tomas Jirku posted to idm about picking up the new "solvently one listens" cd. to clarify, the actual release date is nov1 for north america, nov15 for europe... the only place selling it right now is Penguin Records in toronto, so Tomas must have got it there in addition, the 2x12" vinyl version & the 10" compilation will both be available on nov15....

That one is more noisy...more like throbbing gristle or esplendor geometrico...lots of distorted drums, but the melodies are definitely there...you can here the Kraftwerk and Cabaret Voltaire influences...a good record, but the new one is absolutely brilliant... Hoping I could ask a quick question -- just been listening to short samples of Solvent's Solvently One Listens. It sounds like great stuff, I'm thinking of picking it up on vinyl. I had a Suction 12" by David Kristian/Lowfish previously, but I got rid of it. This kinda left a bad taste in my mouth for the label.
