i don't fucking get it. Everything with a crunch and a scratch is considered a rip off of autechre now. And that's is really sick. That's like saying everyone that uses a guitar is trying to sound like led zepplin. When I listen to BoC, I can't even imagine Autechre doing anything like it. I don't understand how people can be so dense as to think that BoC sounds anything like Autechre. Sick. IMO. jack johnson. ________________________________________________________________ YOU'RE PAYING TOO MUCH FOR THE INTERNET! Juno now offers FREE Internet Access! Try it today - there's no risk! I would like to hereby apologize for any remark I made in the past that compared Boards of Canada to Autechre. They sound nothing alike and I made up the whole darn thing just so I could see my name on the internet. Furthermore, I would like to apologize to the families of Boards of Canada and comfort them for the shame and embarrassment that they must have felt upon reading my obviously weak and stupid comment. Furthermore, I would like to posit the opinion that my kitchen floor sounds like Autechre as it makes both a crunch and a scratch sound every time I walk across it. Sorry to be such a sick dense moron, jack. I didn't realize it would get you so riled up. While we're on the subject of walking and making weird noises...I was walking towards the electronics department at uni this morning (doesn't happen often <g>) when this guy came round the corner. He must've had something stuck in the sole of one of his shoes, cos when he put his left foot down it went 'flop', and when his right hit the ground it went 'crunch'. He was also wearing polyester trousers, cos they went 'swish' between each step he took. That guy made the damn funkiest beat I ever heard, just by walking across the carpark! Just another one of those times when I kick myself for not carrying my minidisc recorder everywhere. Rest assured, a reconstruction will be attempted and the result incorporated into a tune just as soon as I get this damn transistors project out of the way!
