Well, if were gonna list d&b albums, then I've gotta put my vote in for Friend's _Hot Rod_ on Dot. I rank that sucker right up there with the Plug stuff. As a side note, his track on the Endlessnessism comp is one of my favorite d&b tunes ever...fucking wonderful! In fact, it's what's keeping me from selling an otherwise (almost completely) disappointing release. Speaking of Friend, when the hell is a new album coming out? Before Dot went on their extended vacation, it was slated for February of this year. Come on, Dot, get some distro fer christ's sake! Jeff

Friend has a track on one of the new Primal CD compilations of Swedish d&b. Grr... can't remember the name of them right now, and I'm not at home. But there's also tracks from Dot-related artists (though not Hab, thankfully). And there's a wicked full-length from Darchives on Primal coming out in November that's definitely worth checking out. It's more in a dark jungle sound, reminds me a bit of early T Power with very long intros and a lot of lush melody. Ta! Aaron

Aha! V/A - Monolithic Minds vol.1 & 2 (Primal) The artwork is hard to miss... one has a chair with little spikes sticking out of it, another has a high-heeled shoe with nails in it. Nice one. Aaron
