Hi all-- I seem to recall hearing something about a Plone full-length awhile ago. Am I crazy or does such a thing actually exist? Does anyone have a Plone discog they feel like sharing with me? Yup. Called "For Beginner Piano", came out a couple of weeks ago in the UK on Warp, and is due soon (this week or next, I think) on Matador in the US. You can read my review of it at http://www.stainedproductions.com/feedback/reviews/p/plone.htm

As far as I know, all they have out in this full-length, last year's "Plock" EP on Warp, and an earlier 7" on Wurlitzer Jukebox (the a-side of which is on the album, and is one of the best tracks on there). Can't remember if they had an exclusive track on WAP100 or not. Greg

They also did a Peel Session...whether or not it will be released is unknown. Perhaps the best summation of Plone was in a review of their 45 on Riverrun: "Stereolab and Fuxa do this sort of thing much better." (probably not an exact quote but look up the damn URL yourself) But charming nonetheless. B.
