Just visited to the Suction website (www.suctionrecords.com) to find lots of new info including: * Solvent/Lowfish split 7" ("duckie"/"glued smile") is due out on City Centre Offices very soon * new Solvent CD/2xLP called "solvently one listens" sue out in October. CD has 13 tracks (including "duckie" from the 7" above), vinyl has 11 of the CD tracks (excluding "duckie" and one other) *plus* "pineapple boy" from the first Solvent CD (one of it's best tracks, IMO) * a 10" compilation called "assorted pieces" is also due in October, with tracks from Solvent, Pluxus, Tinfoil Teakettle (Solvent & Lowfish) and Brioche Kretzaal (someone who has recorded for Skam & v/vm under different names) Yay, Suction! I just realized that I made a little boo-boo in my Suction update yesterday:

There is no Solvent track on this, actually. It's a Lowfish track. Also on the Suction tip - for those in Toronto and area, Jason Amm aka Solvent will be DJing at the release party for the new CD from local artsy indie-pop band Parts Unknown. He promises that he'll be spinning tracks from the upcoming Suction releases, and maybe even his unreleased Parts Unknown remix, plus lots of new wave and synthpop. ;) It's on Sept 10th at Ted's Wrecking Yard on College.
