Oooooh, yeah! Pulled this out for a sleepy-time listen a few nights ago. I;d forgotten how lovely this is. Anyone know what happened to these people? I've got the full-length and two EPs by them, but haven't seen anything since then. I assume they split, but did any of them move on to other projects?

I don't know if I'd recommend this for someone looking for stuff similar to Seefeel's "warm and swirly" side. It's more like thier cold & clanky stuff. Greg

someone was looking for music similar to seefeel. i recommend bowery electric's _beat_ (and the double-CD of remixes, _vertigo_). it's less dubby, but i think their heart's in the same place - lovely guitar haze, nifty beats and beautiful female vox (not as beautiful as ms. peacock's, but then most aren't). Hmmm.... I am intrigued by seefeel. I have one of their discs, "quique." I like the textures, but the beats are a little too repetitive (i.e. static, no changes) for me. Plus the beat sounds are not well done... cheezy. But the melodies are nice... is their later work good? Could you point me to a disc to get? -dave

If you live in the states, you can't go wrong with "Polyfusia" (Astralwerks). It's a collection of tracks from a couple of their EP's (the names escape me at the moment), and it has some remixes by AFX. Very nice. :)

If you can get a chance to sample a little Disjecta (they had some ep's and an LP in '96 or so) or Woodenspoon (had a Warp 12" in 95 or 96), you might like the slightly more mixed-up beats there. I think both of those are somehow Seefeel-related projects anyway... very similar mood at least. Solenoid
