: well if anyone fancies that lovely speech synth effect in any of their : tracks try this out : : http://www.analogx.com/contents/download/sayit.htm this didn't work nearly as well as i'd hoped it would when i dled a week or two ago, but rather worked well in making up some chunky distorted rhythms... anyone know of any other programs that are in this vein? looking for one that might produce slightly better results (or maybe i was just using the other one incorrectly or something)

If you're looking for a better sounding speech synth, check out WillowTalk. It's available from Willow Pond. It's shareware and stops working after a month or so. I've found it to be the nicest sound one out there. It also allows you to save speech to a WAV file. I used it (in conjunction with Sound Forge) to add some humorous things to mixtapes I made for some friends and to create an intro for my radio show. It worked quite nicely. Mine stopped working a while ago though, and when I tried to reinstall it, it "knew" not to work. Anyone know a way around this? :) I'll buy it eventually, damn it! I'm just broke right now.
