The tracklisting for the recording you have is: . Plug Research & Development comp cd (Plug Research/PR10-VC1) Produced by: v/a Released: 1997 Tracks: Smyglyssna: mjukfryst kor all Phthalocyanine: cassette (lustmord remix) Wrench: saud Nine Machine (steve pickton & mark broom): g Low Res: multratio Ravers Over Venice (Beautyon): pok gentle TD5: self tapper Phthalocyanine: warship Mr. Hazeltine: raspus (2nd round) Smyglyssna: om partiklar och lyktstolpar FYI: The tracklisting for the same comp in 2x12" format is slightly different: . Plug Research & Development comp 2x12? (Plug Research/PR10-VC1) Produced by: v/a Released: 1997 Tracks: Low Res: skint (Typo. This track is actually called Skid.) Phthalocyanine: warship TD5: self tapper Ravers Over Venice: pok gentle Lucid Lung: tatum R.E.A.L.M.: swift kick Mannequin Lung: the sliver state Smyglyssna: om partiklar och lyktstolpar But in either format it's a great comp! -->-Lance--- mclance@nacs.net lance@inaudible.com p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states

Amen to that. This comp is what turned me on to "IDM"... Sure, I had SAW II and the RDJ album, but neither compelled me to search aggressively for the genre (broad though it may be) until I picked up R&D. That said, does anyone know where I can nab older PR 12"s? I'd kill for the Lustmord 12"... ;] PR6 I believe. Anyhow, mad props to the west coast IDM scene. .rr

Yes it was quite the genre-bender!

You know the Lustmord 12" on Plug Research is the only one i've never been able to find! I have all the others, even the early R.E.A.L.M. 12"s but no Lustmord. If you find a source please let me know too. Unfortunately I know of no source for old PR records. I found my older PR records here and there over the past three years.

Agreed! Lots of leftcoast labels to mention - Plug Research, Cytrax, Emanate, Phthalo, Dropbeat, Vague Terrain, Vinyl Communication, Orange, Qlipothic, Palette, Mimic & the Model, Outward Music Co, Dial, Belief Sytems, SFWD, Isophlux, and Organised Noise to name just a few... -->-Lance--- mclance@nacs.net lance@inaudible.com p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states

<snip> I actually have this one. Found it in a techno shop second hand. Kinda of in dodgy condition but the pops actually add to the track. This is a typical lustmord track. I.E. Dark brooding atmosphere. Completely beatless. It really through me off because it is on Plug research. So if your looking for a more beaty, idmish track (like the one on the comp) then you probably won't want this. However, if your a lustmord fan I would recommend trying to track it down. -daniel Head Monkey Mad Monkey Records http://monkey.eliteware.com
