Sorry if this has already been answered, but I saw Orbital's new album (UK import) in the store for $20.99 or so. Is this the best price I'll be able to get or will it see US release? Thanks. Adam. Some side thoughts: If Orbital currently has no US label, you'd think people would be clamoring all over them trying to get them to sign. I don't really care if everyone thinks the album sucks or not. Often albums like that are good ones to challenge oneself to listen to, and i don't know if my tastes follow the rest of the list's that well. While speaking of recent releases that people thought sucked, Sun Electric. I saw them open for the Orb here in mpls and i thought their set kicked. Lots of jungle worked in with house and techno, yet the two albums of thier i have, "aaaah! CD" and "30.7.94" are nothing like this but are just mellower housier stuff. Do any of their albums work jungle and heavy danceable beats into the sound, or is that just something they do live? _________________________________ Adam Roesch / roesch@augsburg.edu Augsburg College / Minneapolis / MN / USA Visit my Fila Brazillia/Pork Recordings fan site: http://dogbert.augsburg.edu/~roesch/pork/ "Because success needs killing" TRICKY

It'll be released in the US on June 8. -Michael

I can't remember seeing anyone slagging Sun Electric in recent times..(!) The last two albums, 'Present' and 'Via Nostra', have some jungle influenced rhythms. Neither really have jungle tracks on them, to my ears, but they've certainly moved quite far away from the 4ttf tunes of their earlier albums. Indeed. Speaking of Sun Electric, the Thomas Fehlmann site at http://www.flowing.de/ now mentions a new single and perhaps a new album as well. It's all a little cryptic: "blow-up chimp. Over flow minus-two. New 30cm single. Wee wee mademoiselle and Superfrühstück remixed by To Rococo Rot Plug Research LA Sextant and Thomas Fehlmann. Apollo 039" ... "Next u-god embryon battle. Over flow minus-one Single and Thomas fehlmann russia jet rug. Over flow: ninenine Album." Just tell me where to enter my credit card number.

The single's out in the UK. The guests remix 'Wee Wee Mademoiselle' and TF remixes 'Superfr|hst|ck'. I haven't heard Sextant before, but the others do mixes inkeeping with their own stuff. That's presuming that the mix by "Plug Research, LA" is by Low Res... I didn't see any more concrete reference to a new album on the sleeve, but certainly "russia jet rug. Over flow: nine nine" would be inkeeping with the name of his last. :-) Michael Join 18 million Eudora users by signing up for a free Eudora Web-Mail account at http://www.eudoramail.com

Watts (the distrubutor) just announced this one in their last fax, so it should be hitting stores soon, assuming the buyers in question yank their heads out from where the sun don't shine and order it.... Very opportune, really, as I just did a 4-hour Fehlman special on my show last week. Wrench KFJC-FM http://www.kfjc.org
