Yes andre did have records out on the Djax and Axodya labels but they are in totally different styles from his current work. Those early eps are in the hard techno & acid styles. Yes andre did have records out on the Djax and Axodya labels but they are in totally different styles from his current work. Those early eps are in the hard techno & acid styles. If you want to hear a sample of this sound check the Analogical track on the Trance Europe Express vol 2 compilation. Andre admitted to me that he isnt real proud of those early eps but they helped pay the bills. The first release where his current style starts to emerge is his excellent Moelhoven ep on Eevolute. Well, I've heard only his self-titled EP on MaS, AEMic "Aleph" (that are absolutely brilliant) and the Within Sound EP, which is also good IMO, especially the track called "sound clip", nice laid-back electro, quite similar to what he produces now, just the drum programming is a bit more simple. Are his other records worth checking out? And what does other music from Axodya sound like? Is there something melodic there? I've heard the Synectics "Hi-Fi Gangsters EP", which I didn't like at all. Nick.

although not all of the axodya output would classify as melodic - IDM, there is some very good stuff there, especially considering when some of it was released. the voder 7" and phial EP are characteristically very bochumelodic, and the DJ Sid , though floor-ready, is recommended for chain reaction fans. alas the label has ceased operation, but look for fine output on other stefan riesen labels (superbra, et al) in the future. Ah, I've heared them too, just thought they were on Kromode. Brilliant records, phial especially. By the way, is Kromode planning to release something in near future? I havent't heard anything about them since 'kromode file 01' was announced here...

And what are Marco Repetto's solo records like? I have a tape with his dj-set on some Swiss radio station, where he span lots of nice music: some tracks from phial along with fsol, some melodic ambient/electro stuff and some good tracks that I haven't heard before. I wonder if he makes somthing like that himself... And thanks for the discography! :) Nick.
