what can one expect from a GUSGUS live performance? i've seen video of them performing a house-y-er version of "remembrance" at tribal gathering. i liked this very much. i also like the house remixes they have for various artists. so: is their live preformance more house? or more like their album material? and: who is "J. SMOOTH"? tomas

Hi, folks. I am moving to New Orleans (from San Francisco) at the end of the summer and would greatly appreciate any suggestions people might have regarding record stores, clubs, etc. All the best. -Marc http://www.disquiet.com np: DJ Krush's 'Kakusei'

i saw them with lamb here in toronto a few years ago...i must admit that i thoroughly enjoyed gusgus, but the general consensus among the crowd seemed to be one of disinterest...lamb were incredible, and they blew alot of people away, and no one had any energy left for gusgus... as far as i could tell, a lot of the material was on dat / sequenced...but they had the whole crew onstage... i think 8 or so performers...the performance kept the songs pretty close to the album versions...they were very energetic and had alot of stage presence, they seemed to be really enjoying themselves...they're all very talented multi-instrumentalists, switching gear many times during the show... i'm not sure if the stage at lee's palace could hold the whole ensemble , it is a rather small stage... anyways, if their show is as good as it was then, i highly recommend it... dave
