o, that was a big oversight. what a great album. i love the album version of 'transfer', too. do people on this list listen to haujobb? it seems like none of the 'techno' people i know listen to them, save for those (like me) for whom haujobb was instrumental in making the transition from industrial to wherever they are now. just wondering... yours, niall. ===== home cd-recording is killing the auction industry. please stop the insanity! __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Haujobb are one of the few industrial bands who have been look beyond the boring cliches and pull their music forward. This progression started with freeze frame reality and with solutions for a small planet they brought in alot of D & B influence. 99, I think is my favorite as it very subtle and minimal. The female vocals are quite lush too. Any thoughts on the remixes off of 99 ? I've yet to pick this up. _ninetynine remixes_ has quite a few stunning pieces on it, ranging from spacey trip-hop to electronic soundtrack dub to basic channel-esque tech-house to rigid robot d'n'b. * #### a disturbance in a system. #### laerm. @voicenet.com ##:# icq 5562209 integrate me --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

A lot of people don't listen to Not Breathing also, it might have something to do with the fact that neither label presses vinyl, or does a good job marketing the product to a techno audience. In Not Breathing's case he is signed to Invisible, a label known for putting out a bad industrial crap. I think alot of people might not pick it up his cd for that reason. I know I certainly would never dream of listening to anything on the Cleopatra/Hypnotic label for that very reason. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? And because of that, they're missing out on the odd amazing release amongst the label's grossly obscene catalog of crap.... I think everyone deserves to check out the first Kraftwelt album on Hypnotic (the red cover... not the three robots cover).... wicked wicked wicked electro..... Well Cleopatra have had their MASSIVE number of duds, I mean damn do we really need a flock of seagulls tribute CD ? But they have done a couple of cool things like re-issue some Kraftwerk CDs and put out some Delerium and Plateau stuff. Personally, I think they are a bunch of money grubbin' skum. Actually, just to clarify, from what I understand that's exactly what they're not. From interviews I've done with artists who have had relations with Cleopatra, I've found that Cleopatra is one of the few labels that pays their artists on time, and in full. They're very upfront about it. The problem with the label is just that they release way too much crap-o-la. But I don't know a single artist who has ever had a problem while dealing with the label itself. Maybe if none of the artists involved knew that "flock of seagulls" referred to a band you might get something more interesting. :-) Michael -+- Involve Records http://involve.co.nz Jet Jaguar MP3s http://mp3.com/jetjag/ -+- --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

And maybe if they got good artists, they might have better output. Or maybe if they got a fucking clue what year it was they would stop trying to put out fucking lame tribute lps to past "one hit wonder has beens". I think they employ mostly really lame industrial artists trying to do trance. Probably if you wear all black and say you like Front 242 and have you have a few keyboards you will get signed. Hint: For all the cunts trying to flash their mp3s, go get some black clothes and make up. Even if your shit sucks hard, you might be next in line to be on a Missing Person's tribute cd. ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
