I have to agree with brian r. and chris leitz,
the most recent phthalo releases are etra
goood just the other day i got caught up
on the phthalo releases getting the robert
merlak, 4mod3, and ost live cds in the mail.
I definitely like the 4mod3 release best out
of the lot - kit clayton can do no wrong in
my book. But the merlak and ost cds are
still very good too - robert's being an 11-
track journey through electronica and
experimental realms and the live ost being
a percussive experimental outing.
Speaking of OST, he just released a stunning
cd on the Dial label called Fashion for Passion.
It's a terrific 10-tracker of more subtle deep
dark bassy experimental excursions that would
appeal to fans of mego, raster, touch, and
phthalo alike. There is also another new Dial
cd called Marina that, i believe, is also
produced by OST. I havent listened it enough
yet to give a proper opinion though. I can
recommend however that you pick both Dial
releases up because they are both excellent
and limited.
