ok, a few questions for all you great list members: 1. i?ll be going to college soon, and i have been thinking about getting both a record bag and a record crate. is there anybody that can recommend any to me based on quality and price? 2. i just got the quench 12? + 7? on the dub label and I have been really enjoying it lately. i was wondering if anyone could provide a full discography. i know about the cd on u-cover but any other information would be greatly appreciated. also, are/is quench related to funckarma in any way? ?phase ii? off of the 7? sounds very familiar. 3. finally, how exactly do you work the translation of the hamijama ?cultivar? 12?? i really don?t understand it. well, thanks a lot for your precious time. lander ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

No doubt these are the keys to a successful academic career. :) Here's the cheap campus way for storing your records. A) Sneak around the loading area behind your cafeteria. You'll likely find stacks of bread racks from the bakery, and behind those, milk crates. Some don't quite fit records, and others are just right.... consider bringing a record along to check before you run off with 9-10 of those crates. BTW: Stealing these is not a federal offense. B) Stealing US Post Office mail carriers is a federal office though, and these things rock! Very durable plastic reinforced with steel cable.... these suckers hold about 120 records with a little space on each side for the handles. Excellent. Find your campus post office... they'll probably be a few stacks near the entrance of these things. C) Bricks from campus construction sites can be obtained for the most part quite easily.... and they can be used to build makeshift furniture for your gear, records, friends, etc. As for record bags.... well, expect to pay at least $60 for a half-decent one. You might consider buying one that holds at least 40-50 records with a separate pocket for needles or headphones. Or attend a conference like Billboard, CMJ, or Winter Music Conference, and you'll likely get a free record bag with your registration. With all the money you've saved, you might be able to afford records.... and that's more than you can say about most college DJ folk around here.... Ha ha !!! So this is a universal thing :-) I, too, have a few of those holding my vinyl together. And a friend of mine has so many, she's put her (double) mattress on top of it and is using them as a very good base for her bed. All sorts of applications... The unfortunate part is, although you may try to buy them legitimately, that seems to be totally impossible (I have attempted to be honest, promise!), so you are reduced to, erm, purloining them off the streets. If they're gunky and all else fails, chuck 'em in the swimming pool for a few days - the chlorine cleans them up nicely. Assuming you've got a swimming pool, that is. In further unfortunate news, newer milk crates are no longer being manufactured in a 12" by 12" size, as they realised that most of their loss was to DJs and music fans. -Dayv! SO... VINYL BASE IS GOOD FOR BACK SUPPORT! WONDER IF SLEEP COUNTRY HAS ANYTHING TO SAY TO THAT! I GUESS NO NEED TO TEST IT OUT WITH BOWLING BALLS ;-)

Besides stealing them from places...I picked up some at K-mart...the plastic isn't as durable but I've taken my records around to alot of parties without any breakage.
