Arovane - Fwd: ep Well I've been sitting on this one, but it's great. 4 tracks of carefully consturcted, melancholic IDM. Lots of melody and harmony to lead the tracks with nice gritty beats in the background (way in the background). Sure, I'll give the nod, it's like very tame Ae, but with a solid helping of traditional musicality. Excellent. Freescha - s/t This one took a few listens to get into, but it's not surprising since the tracks take a while to develop or require the listener to sit through a minute or two of texture. The second track, bulb, has that classic idm melodic feel with a nice smattering of rough(but quiet) electro percussion (808) and a magesitc melody. Imagine Pete Namlook paying some deserved attention to drum sounds and less of an antiseptic feeling to his music. Actually I recorded both of these and the lexaunculpt double density ep from vinyl to aiff and burned to cd... 73 mins :) lovely way to kill a sunday :) -Gil --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
