definetely, positively, without a doubt, the funniest thing i have seen in a long time. i'm sure dan and chris would agree. kid started out with some crunchy beats not all that unlike some of the richie devine stuff, it then went more on the noisy side, with beats breaking down and deconstructing at every chance. some teenage (?) girl apparently not that into kid606 ran up to the soundboard, turned down the masters, and declared herself the queen (no joke, she actually yelled "i am the queen"). kid turned himself back up, and proceeded to throw away the crunchy beats in favor of hyper distorted 808 style beats combined with a distorted microphone into which he repeatedly yelled "mother fucking hardcore". somebody picked up a guitar and started playing some hardcore style shit behind kid606's beats, and the place just went off. clearly, the plans had been changed and the last half of kid's set was more of a reaction to that girl that turned the sound off. i can guarantee that it was all in good humor though, and all of us down on the floor were just rolling. so that's what happened. brian
