ummm which one of these are the dudes who fuck around with the CD players in shit? Is it Microstoria? I'm listening to Init Ding thinking "ummm no wonder I can't fall asleep" anyway, are there URL out there in cyberland that go into some detail on what these dudes did to their CD's and CD players. All I can recall is reading someting about them taking a sharpie pen and drawing all over the play side of their CD... fill me in. ALSO, tell me in PRIVATE cuz I know this has been discussed already and I don't wanna waste anymore bandwith than I have to. It's enough with all the other crap I send. gilly (up all nite)

er, are you referring to oval? :) microstoria is oval (they do odd things to cds then manipulate them and then record them) and some fellow from mouse on mars (*i think*).

dont recall. but yeah, oval does shit like that -- pictures and scratches and whatnot. sometimes it works really well. other times it bugs a little. i MUCH prefer microstoria to oval.

whatever. someone else might have been a little curious. anything mouse on mars related is important :) chris.

Microstoria is Markus Popp (Oval) and Jan St Werner (Lithops & ½ of Mouse on Mars).

Oval's stuff is much more than "scratches & whatnot" but that is obviously what a quick listen portrays. The cd with the most prevalent "scratches & whatnot" is systemisch but albums like diskont97 and dok are much more in the Microstoria vein IMHO. But i am biased because i love everything that Markus Popp touches.

Agreed! Oval's stuff is Mouse on Mars related because with the LP version of Oval's Diskont94 album there is a bonus remix 12" with remixes by Mouse on Mars, Scanner, Christian Vogel and Jim O'Rourke. -->-Lance--- p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states

Sebastian Oschatz, who was or is now with oval, has a web page: http://www.meso.net/oschatz/ There's also something about oval. Karl-Michael
