To answer my own question from a couple days ago: I shelled out and bought the Fink 12" I was asking about unheard, it was worth the splurge. Still haven't really gotten my head around it, it's not excellent but still quite good. If I had to pin it down, it's similar to the new Irresistible Force album w/out the distracting (IMHO) samples. Quite soothing and lush in places. Switches up quite a bit, one track mutates from trip-hop to d'n'b to electro without sounding too all over the place. Recommended. Now another question: trying to fill in a few gaps in my rekkid crates, and I want more deep, trippy, house. I know that's vague, but I'm looking for things that'd go over well in a chillout room but still have that 4/4 thump. Maybe lower bpm stuff, I dunno. I have a few records in this vein that I dig - some of Carl Craig's output, other Planet E releases, and a couple 12"s on Guidance. Where to look for more? Artists, labels, specific tunes? Thanks for the aid, as always...Brock ____________________________________ Brock Phillips - bphil@email.unc.edu WXYC 89.3 FM The New Science Experience Tune in every Sunday night 10-12 AM EST http://www.wxyc.org for live RA broadcast Promos, demos, etc. welcome for submission Email for postal address and details... Brock: Stuff like Compost/Compose might do the trick. Close the Gap pts 1-3 is in that house to electro to something else kind of vein. Hope this helps. Andrew Brock Phillips wrote:
