just some thoughts on a couple (fairly) recent releases: is it just me, or is ska010that the best skam release since freeform? while recently i've been enjoying some weird stuff like lithops and atom heart, i keep coming back for more of the newest gescom. i think it's the tight beats on the gescom and dc duo's rmxs that do it for me. sometimes i wish that certain artists would just drop some dope beats on our arses, instead of wasting our time with under- developed ideas. speaking of lithops, what's up with the CD version of uni umit? the damn thing is mastered at the wrong speed! as much as i hate to bring up 33 vs. 45 again, this is really bugging me. i try to tolerate personal preferences, but uni umit at 33 just doesn't add up. and speaking of atom heart, here is a classic post from the IDM archives (which i now have on CD :) ----------

I'm pretty certain that it should be played at 33 (just compare the sound with 'instrumentals' which is also 33). Nick
