Chain reaction was dope last night. If you missed them, you can at least catch pole on tonights radio/net broadcast. Wednesday November 11th 8-10pm - Pole Live! Chain Reaction's subdued dubster fucks it up tonight. I'm still reeling from last night's public space performance at the El Ray. I can't really explain Pole, except to say that it's mellow, dubby, spacey, and yet just as modern sounding as something autecre or the schematic guys could come up with. It kind of reminded me of a modern take on the Sabres of Paradise album "Haunted Dancehall". A million thanks to Christopher Robin and Allen from Plug Research for setting this one up! Wednesday November 18th 8-10pm - Twenty Twelve Live!/Barry Ashworth DJ! Twenty Twelve is Nick Rappatoni's breaks project. He has two singles out so far, one self-released and one on DUV records. Unlike many breaks producers nowadays, Nick comes from a rich funk and jazz background and performs live. for more info, visit www.twentytwelve.com. Nick will play live from 9-10pm. Barry Ashworth is the mastermind behind the Dub Pistols. His debut album, Boint blank, just went to #1 in the UK but he's still representin' in Southern California's underground. The album is a thick, swirling dub take on today's breaks scene, and I've heard rave reviews about his DJ sets. Barry will DJ from 8-9pm. Wednesday, December 2nd, 8-10pm, - Phone Performs Live! Orange County's live electro-analog improvisational ambient quartet. They played a great set at Nightnoise last Sunday, and I just had to have them down. Wednesday December 9th, 8-10pm - THC (w/string Quartet) Performs Live! Live 6 peice trip-hop/drum n' bass. Singer, Keyboard guy, 2 Violinists, Viola PLayer, and Celloist. They're playing in france right now, and will be performing shortly after thier return. Coming Soon: Sterile - Orange County's intelligent electronic monthly. Check www.peachfuzz.net/sterile for updates. For those of you still trying to get a copy of Loraine, Noise Noise Noise in costa mesa and Skimo/modernmusic (skimo@home.com) online have recieved new shipments. Fingerprints in Long Beach and Aaron's in LA have picked up the compilation as well. For more Loraine info, go to www.peachfuzz.net. KUCI Is now broadcasting via the internet! KUCI broadcasts 24/7 on the internet througha java-based streaming technology. All you need is a net connection (faster the better) and a modern browser (AOL is not modern), try it out at www.kuci.org. Space Disco For Fish Tacos has been on the air for three years, featuring weekly live performances and interviews by electronic musicians from southern California and abroad. Tune in every Wednesday evening from 8-10pm on KUCI 88.9fm, broadcasting at 200 watts to the greater Orange County area. Some past guests have included (In no particular order): Mixmaster Morris, Ben Neill, Uberzone, Electric Skychurch, Bassland, Skylab2000, Mushroom Nation, X-Calibur, Gearwhore, Paxwo, Hive, Surface 10, Variance, THC, Mark Trance's Deep, Cathexis, Sumi, Quadra, Tipsy, Lecanoscope, Control X/Front BC/Liqui-Fly/Mental Blox, Arjuna, Dimension 23, Liquid Mind Warp, Bleu, Entrancing Iris, Phthalocyanine, John Tejada, Robert Rich, Hazel Window, Your Choroid Coat, Low Res, Not Breathing, The Angel, 2 Silver Boxes vs. Scatterbrain, The Electric Company, A Produce, Max Vaxx & The Rain People (and the list keeps growing). KUCI Is a closed studio, which means we are not equipped to have an audience, so please don't ask to come down. Exceptions have been few and far between, but due to recent theft problems I will definitely not be allowing people to come down for the show. Whereas nothing has been stolen during my show, I intend to keep it that way. In addition, I am not able to make copies of live performances for listeners. I understand that people out of KUCI's signal want to get a hold of some of the live performances that I have, but those performances are the property of the artist and out of respect for them I cannot make duplications. However, once the signal is released from our transmitter, I have no control over listeners making duplications. -Daniel daniel@peachfuzz.net ICQ# 16654223 ============================================================================== Peach Space Disco For Fish Tacos PO Box 1902 8-10pm Wednesdays, KUCI 88.9fm Huntington Beach, CA 92647 www.kuci.org/~dbremmer www.peachfuzz.net ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Coming Soon - Sterile: Orange County's Intelligent Electronic Monthly www.peachfuzz.net/sterile ============================================================================== "Kids, don't do crack. I really hate to be a "me too"er, but in this case I am. I love the Pole album, and there is no way Pole is comming to Denver... (I really need to get out of Colorado...). A CD-R would be appreciated, and I can probably work out a trade... --hh -/\= Hess M. Hodge ~/\ hess.hodge@colorado.edu (/\) http://rtt.colorado.edu/~hodge
