Yes, the fucking nice track on WE's album "As Is" ... aw, damn, now I forget which one. I think it's track three or maybe four. Exactly the same description as above (3/4 and 4/4). It's hard to be a smarty pants IDM listmember when I post form work and my tunes are mostly at home. Anyway, I'm also making a track myself right now with a 5/4 slow groove and a straight up fast 1-2-1-2 disco hop holding it together for the dance floor. 1-2,2-2,3-2,4-2,5-2, etc. Maybe someday I'll finish it. I hope it's in tune. -Cf ' - . _ . - ' ^ ' - . _ . - ' ^ ' - . _ . - c h r i s t ø p h e r f ª h e y . _ . - ' ^ ' - . _ . - ' ^ ' - . _ . - ' ^ chris@raremedium.com 2 1 2 - 6 3 4 - 6 9 5 0 x 2 5 8 http://www.raremedium.com - ' ^ ' - . _ . - ' ^ ' - . _ . - ' ^ ' - .

One of the bomb mixes I pulled off recently: "Neurotic Behavior" by Carl Craig - beatless ambient in 4/4 with a tempo/pulse. over "Cube Loop (As One remix)" by Reflection - a jazzy track in 6/4. can't believe I pulled it off, but it was great ;) Bill / dj marathon Christopher Fahey wrote:

Excellent-- that's exactly what I'm talking about. Good work man! Wish I could hear it. =) My setup is CD based, so I can manufacture this kind of rythmic overlay with any tune.. just loop 3 beats against a 4/4 track, or whatever. Fractured Steel Pulse loops and CH-Vox era Seefeel are interesting. =) Still, it's muuuuch cooler to find one of those opportunities 'in the wild'.. entire tracks in different time that can be mixed with great results. - Brad Brad Shelton Brad.Shelton@CenturyTel.com
