Can any of you tech-house peeps (Lance et al) out there recommend a couple of Palette's releases to start with? I'm more into the tech-house side of 'tings, think Plastic City and Terry Lee Brown Jr. And I knew a couple of his more recent releases (Tejada, that is) like "City of Drumrolls" were more on the housey side, which I might not enjoy as much. I'm just digging into this label and don't have the money or faith to shell out for the whole back catalog. Think TECH-house with deep atmospherics and intelligent production. Sorry if this is still somewhat vague, cheers in advance for the help... ____________________________________ Brock Phillips - bphil@email.unc.edu WXYC 89.3 FM The New Science Experience Tune in every Sunday night 10-12 AM EST http://www.wxyc.org for live RA broadcast Promos, demos, etc. welcome for submission Email for postal address and details... Here are my favorite Palette releases. Tejada always walks the fine line between tech-house and abstract techno. I personally prefer the latter of the two styles. Here are the ones i recommend in order of enjoyment: . John Tejada: 12 Volts of Soft Spread 12" (Palette 03) . John Tejada: Palette One 12" (Palette 01) . John Tejada: The Ebonics 12" (Palette 02) . John Tejada: The Walk 12" (Palette 05) -->-Lance--- p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states
