The ultimate Suicide album! Alan Vega's inner city paranoia has found its most bleak setting yet. The Panasonic duo show Martin Rev a thing or two about the minimalist '90's - finding a further reduction of his basic sounds, while sharpening a few of their own. The Panasonic purists may not like it but the Suicide ones should. w/ "Medal" 'its a medal for the killers' - wow, like a speeding Elvis freaking out about his uniform in Germany

Unfortunately, I've absolutely no idea what Suicide sounds like so this, as appreciated as it was, didn't clear up what the disc particularly sounds like for me... although, Elvis freaking out about his uniform in Germany sounds pretty different =) brap@sonic.net icq_12645306 coming sooner than later: sfwd0004 - pre-mil·len·ni·um soundscapes 12" chris g. 1547 boston court #7, santa rosa, ca 95405 http://www.sonic.net/~brap/

i was worried that the vocals would have a negative impact on the panasonic half ofthe project, but i was pleasantly surprised. the vocals are upfront, and abrasive at times, but it still is pretty good ( i have only put in on a handful of times so far) . for some reason 'that total age' from nitzer ebb comes to mind with the yelling of vega reminiscent of join in the chant. so if you like panasonic, and are open a little bit to the sound of human voices you should pick this up. cl
