Yes, it's a great ep of beyond-basic channel experimentation. Imagine a pole vs funkstroung collaboration and you'll have an idea what this one sounds like. Recommended. -->-Lance--- p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states

Jeff, how are you!? Arovane is a guy from Berlin called Uwe Zahn. He has another 12 lined-up, plus a CD and a MiniDisc, all due later on DIN. Chain Reaction is back in operation as well. 021 is supposed to be out by the end of the month. It's a project called Fluxion, someone from Greece. They are back, finally. The 021 is beautiful, fantastic Jeff Davis wrote:

Can anyone tell me about Din records from Berlin? I recently picked up the new Arovane no.8 12"... which is a dubby idm kind of thing... the side label 'No.8 [amix]' sounds similar to the Ae mix of Various Artists, but less abrasive. Also in the minimal info given on the 12", it does say it was released in conjunction with Fatcat... Anyone?

I think those are both remixes done by Arovane. There is also an Arovane mix on the "No Movement, No Sounds, No Memories - Removed" EP on Lux Nigra. Very good. Pole and others are also on there.

Hi all Is there anything released from Various Artists except that remix 12" and the BRILLIANT 8.5 12" (the one with two long tracks, one on each side). I need more of this, or anything in this vein. I dunno, just everytime I listen to it it feels like I'm getting smashed in the face. In a good way. I very rarely find new artists that surprise me so when I got this 2-3 moths ago I was totally stunned. Still am. So can anyone point me to other releases? Would be tops Thanks in advance Franz http://gargamel.com/frankie -- WHEN DOGMA ENTERS THE BRAIN, ALL INTELLECTUAL ACTIVITY CEASES. - Robert Anton Wilson

There is a Various Artists cd called Decay Product and an ep from back in 95 called 1-7 which are both on the Chain Reaction label. -->-Lance--- mclance@nacs.net lance@inaudible.com p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states

DIN is a label from the BC/CR camp. It started with two 12"s by Traktor (not under DIN at that time), later these got re-released on DIN, as well as 12"s by Dynamo, the first ever (?) Pole release and recently 3 12"s by Arovane (the third one, which features to remixes done by Arovane is not the best (IMO)). The conjunction with FatCat most probably is just the fact that the original version of Various Artist's 'no. 8' was released on FatCat ... I also heard rumours about a first CD release by Arovane, but I don't know for sure. (Thaddi, Lance, anyone ?) For more exact info on DIN (or anything else from the BC/CR camp) check Circonium's page at http://www.snafu.de/~circonium/music/ Bye Sebastian -- Sebastian Herrfurth (seher@cs.tu-berlin.de) pages for Bernd Friedmann / Riz Maslen / Daniel Myer / Pole / Jazzanova/SK at http://user.cs.tu-berlin.de/~seher/music.html
