nope but it's a big fear..especially at close to $30 canadian a pop...I usually twist them out slowly instead of applying the normal depress and release method.....maybe there should be a special "Basic Channel Lubricant(tm)" for ease of release................

yeah we talked about this a while back, and concluded that although the metal boxes are cool, they are not a successful design. I have had 2 CD's crack, but fortunately I discovered this before the crack spread into the music part of the discs. The problem is not so much removing the CD's properly as it is if the metal boxes ever become warped (from carrying it in a bag or something), well metal is stronger I guess and the CD will slightly warp as well, and over time will eventually crack. I keep all my BC/CR box CD's loose inside the case... later Nate On Tue, 21 Jul 1998, Simon Paul wrote:

LOTS of people have had this problem. There was a long thread about it when they first came out. Store 'em in jewel cases. Leave the cans for cat food. jeff -- dancing/about/architechture "...with wandering steps and slow..." ICQ904008
