Nobody knows. That's another thing. It may never be released at all. Luke Vibert's 'Big Soup' was supposed to be released domestically. There was a release date set, ads were in magazines, and it never happened. Nothing was supposed to release Chiastic Slide domestically months ago, but now that's not going to happen at all. If the new record ever does get released it might not be for a year. -David

re: Big Soup not released in US I don't remember exactly what the FFRR publicist said but it was something along the lines of copyright problem with the cover art. Not sure why they couldn't have just redid the art w/o the roboto art on there... I heard something about Sept. for the new AE but we'll see. Howie

Didn't the same sort of thing happen with the Plaid album? I'm sure I even saw some reviews in the US press which had it listed as an upcoming Nothing release, but I have yet to see a North American pressing of the disc. Greg

Maybe that's why the label name is "Nothing." It describes their actual IDM output. -->-Lance--- p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states

regardless, that was the point i was making a few weeks back until whats his face started standing up for reznor. warp shouldve sticked with sire or someone who has unlimited budget and some organisation. remember when richard d james album came out, sire whipped those *canadian* editions out almost simultaneously with the us and uk releases, and HMV had entire shelves of it for 16.99 (14.99 us) jif

Try 2+ years.

Ryan (I *think* it's Ryan who does that site) lists *all* releases from all Nothing-related bands, including stuff that it's on Nothing. That's why he has info about Coil, Ae, Sqrpshr and other bands that haven't actually released anything on the label yet. It's sort of confusing, I guess. Greg

Really? Seems more like four or five years to me... :)

Actually, it's Edwin that does the page. I just lend a helping hand every now and then, like telling him not to list so many non-Nothing releases on the Nothing page. :) While we're talking pages, I might as well plug my own: http://aphex.home.ml.org/. It's pretty shit right now, since all I ever actually do is update the news and neglect the other sections. ------------------------------------------------------------- Ryan Visima - http://aphex.home.ml.org/ - rvisima@total.net -------------------------------------------------------------
