warpnet has moved. the address is still http://www.warp-net.com and the move should have been transparent but warpnet is now sat on a different hardisk. performance will probably have improved (not that it was that bad at obsolete) and we now have a realaudio3 server at our disposal... something special that way is lined up for next week... download your RA3 clients now... the chatter server is still being debugged and tested and should see some action (without crashing hopefully) again in a week or two. maybe sooner. the message post is still up but is being re-written, to allow threaded posts and other obvious improvements. some people have been experiencing server 400 error messages, these are proving difficult to track down. warpmart is ready to roll, probably late next week. we now have the swipey machine thing for all your lovely credit card nos. more details soon (thats warp mart. not the swipey thing which was disappointing.) g.

the reason you can't see anything is because you probably don't have shockwave. it's a plug-in. i think the news section of warpnet actually mentions it and tells you where to download the plugin, but if it doesn't, then go to http://www.macromedia.com and download, macromedia's flash, and director plugins. they're being used more and more in websites, with some pretty nice results... a tx/32432-24fd1 20 bin sorter does not comunicate properly on a lanier 6540 because the rear interlock switch doesn't line up. damn the tx/32432-24fd1 sorter. -kiya i am a copier. we are not all copiers.

I guess I am writing this note to remind everyone that Warpnet is one fo the worst sites on the internet in terms of compatibility issues. I just tried the site and could not access the Autechre new LP area with either Internet Explorer 4 or Netscape Navigator 4. I had success with Netscape 4 (.04 or .05, can't remember) on NT, but now I don't. I can't remember if it was before I upgraded to 4.05 or after that it worked. Try going to the URL via WarpOgraphy rather than the link on the home page. Or try it with a browser that doesn't have Freehand support. It works fine from my Linux box. -Michael

anybody else having trouble getting into warp-net? as soon as that stupid bleeper sounds off, my browser basically stops working. can't point and click, can't tab and enter, etc... so in order to get something to work in netscape (4.05), i have to reboot my whole PC. am i the only one? thanks, alan!
