Hi, I bought my copy of Papua New Guinea in 1991, when it was originally released on Jumpin & Pumpin records. It only has 3 mixes on it!!! arghhh, what happened to the other ones? In fact, i'm sure it doesn't even have 3 of the ones listed above, it has maybe 3 (perhaps 2) totally different mixes. - Ben --

Just feel happy that you have the rare collectors original. :) I think the <<Original 12">> mix among the remixes really is just that, though I do not have the "true" original to tell. I think the "dumb child of q" mix dates back a long way too. The rest of these remixes were part of the re-release package which occurred in 92 or 93, with about 6 mixes on 12" and 7 or 8 on CD. Watch out that the long Weatherall mix is curtailed on these old CDs, wonder whether they've put the full one off the 12" onto the new CDs? I have 2 of the original versions of PNG by FSOL. The one from Germany only has 4 tracks on it, while the one from England has the 8 tracks on it.
