well I must say that it's quite lonely when you are the only person who listens to this kind of music and everyone else thinks it's crap. I maybe am alone here but I listen to IDM coz I like it, I don't give a piss about whether it's unique or anything else.. keep in mind that's what spawns the countless 14 year olds who do all sorts of stupid shit thinking they're unique and "cool." are we like them? I'm certainly not.. I listen to music like Aphex Twin and BoC, etc. because I think it's beautiful. Of course there's a certain thing with tracks like Fantasia and AB2 tracks, but the thing that attracted me to Aphex Twin (which started me liking this type of music) and Autechre is beauty.. because of tracks like Acrid Avid Jamshred, Analogue Bubblebath, Alberto Balsalm, Basscadet (beaumont hannant mix) and others of this nature that I didn't know at the time like Flim, On the Romance Tip, and Sloth. (Flim hadn't come out yet heh). There's not one ounce in my being that likes this music because no one else does, and I dislike bands like Prodigy and Chemical Bros. because I think they made shit music, and that's my opinion..
