While watching the latest Hollywood excuse for not paying scriptwriters (cliched dialogue, some cool FX, some mediocre), I caught a glimpse of what looked like a ripoff of the FSOL Hydra (you know, the tentacled orb that graces much of their cover art). At first I thought they were ripping off Buggy. Then, as I sat through the overlong end credits (some of the credits FX were better than the movie), listening to the sad excuse for electronica (crystal method, propellerheads, fatboy slim - need I say more?) that they didn't play during the movie (fear of alienating the parents?), but instead played over the end credits to give lamers an excuse to buy the soundtrack (otherwise your usual pseudo-classical schmaltz), when lo, I spotted Buggy G. Riphead being given credit for visual design of the Jupiter 2 Brain and the some of the Proteus. Fitting that it would be an electronic brain, upon which violence was visited upon... Che
