let's stop all the talk and actually come together as a group and do something productive (for a change.) why not start a label consisting of idm posters/lurkers? we can pool our money, and choose the releases based upon vote. (democratic enough, right?) if we can get enough people to pitch in, i reckon it would be pretty cheap to press up a few hundred vinyl. the thing is, we'd have to pick a *trustworthy* individual to handle the money and relavent matters. that's where it becomes complicated, as it seems everyone is busy these days blasting someone else for ripping them off. too bad, it's a nice idea. we could sollicit demos and maybe even digitize them and put them up on the web for those who pitched in money to checkout and listen to and vote for their favorite artist/s. the format could consist of a compilation, or it could be more simple, just a 12" for starters. if some of you spent as much time reading and posting to idm as trying to actually put something good out, well shit, we'd actually have something. i think it's time to try to think of ways to resurrect this list, here's my idea for starters. as always, love ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com

eh, actually its been done already man... 'the threads' compilation it was called. kind of 50/50 idm and ambient... good stuff. which reminds me, is there going to be a threads 2...? PS: Funkstroung CDs status report: the CDs are now hopelessly lost somewhere... which makes me sorry i mentioned them in the first place without getting the full info... (i will now go to hide under my rock) my personal guess though is that the distributor fucked up, marked a funkstroung 12" as a CD and this in turn mixed up the store i buy all my stuff at into giving me the wrong info... sigh. :spacecake:

Or someone could put out a single on my pathetic label... I'd really like that. Just a though. Email me if anyone wants to talk.
