The joy in a fine new rephlex release is only partly in the music. The thrill of the hunt is also a large part of the fun(k). It took me 3 months to find From the Cockpit, and 4 to find Tango/Vectif, now I've got my eyes peeled for the new ones. Anybody want to sell _Truth is Born of Arguments_? Well, I think it was, cuz I bought a copy of it a few days ago. I'm in NYC if that means anything. Definitely takes the cake for being the shortest CD I've bought, clocking in at 6:15. Pretty good though, if you are still under the impression that Rephlex releases 'unique' (ie good in a weird way) music. I'm sure some will call it shit. First track is this quirky vocoder thing with no rhythms, second track is even more experimental, starts out with FM sounding chords, then a minute into it turns into this cut up drum fest with weird voices cut up on top. peace Nate

snagged one friday @arons rec.s only 6 mins long. first track is ~3mins of a vocodered voice saying "are we not men who live and die" over and over. amusing once or twice, but thats about it... second track is a pretty nice little electroey type cylob number. nice, but i wouldn't say this is an essential release unless you are a completist. the 3"cd+adapter is cute.plays in my car.havent seen the 7" yet. -t-
