Has anyone seen any of these released? Having just digested the Bullitt 12" (Fabulous, really), and being sorely disappointed w/ Plaid's Techno-by-numbers, I'm in serious need of a new Black Dog fix... Thanks Che

Good record that. Lalo Schifrin is amazing and you should snap up whatever you can find. The 'bullit' bassline shows up on a track I am working on right now: http://soli.inav.net/~kent/music/pornfunk.ram [streaming] http://tutti.inav.net/~cadsiweb/kw/pornfunk.ra [download] Bassline is the intro to the album mix of Bullit, played at 33. Piano & Sax: Thelonius Monk and John Coltrane -- from "Ruby My Dear" Drums: Bernard Purdie loops Snare Rush: Art Blakey Guitar riff from a New Orleans funk record. Is that sample clearance hell or what?

Hello, Here in Colorado, we recently released the CHOONZ & WAREZ compilation that features a track by THE BLACK DOG, as well as 35 other tracks by different talents with many different stylees. The track by THE BLACK DOG is called THE TRACK WITH THREE NAMES, I am not sure if the track is exclusive to the compilation or not, but its great! The compilation also features 230 megs of CD-rom goodies, tons of drum loops, samples, gfx and tons of text philez. Only one thousand are printed and you can only get this disc from us direct: $15 usa or $20 overseas double set CD compilation: CHOONZ & WAREZ available from: Stevyn Protheroe po box 1905 boulder CO 80306 usa Anyone from this list who orders can also have a free copy of our zine IRON FEATHER JOURNAL which is 132 pages on bookstock paper and also features an interview with THE BLACK DOG and many other bands like 808 STATE, BANCO dE GAIA, EAT STATIC, SCANNER, etc. Included with the CD order for free, upon request. Look in this March issue of UK's MIXMAG, MixMasterMorris wrote up a blurb about it and I am just now getting some promo copies out to other zines so look for more reviews zoon. have phun, Stevyn
