Yeah I moved to NYC last summer, hoping to discover more of the NY dnb
scene. What I discovered is sort of strange; the 'family/community' aspect
of it is really strong, with shops like Breakbeat Science and Liquid Sky,
and at events the seem to spin decent selections of jump-up styl;ed stuff
as well as harder tech stuff, but the actuall music produced by the local
talent is, well, crap, with the exception of We. I try to like it, but it
is weak. I have the DJ Dara CD and would not recommend it at all. The same
goes for any Liquid Sky stuff.
