__________On Now___________ Bannlust: Digital Tensions CD Bannlust & Craft Records 27 1997 The cover art is dark, contemporary, and slightly menacing, and as a matter of fact, the music is too. There are 11 tracks Sczaqual Pornpet ul ul (reprise) Drah Bannlust Kev-man rub ice you is torr Mother Last Dayz Actually this CD is quite this-listy with some strong similarities to Richard Kirk, Clock DVA, and even (of all people) Mike Paradinas (Mu-ziq.) The cuts are digital, sometimes hard and lo-fi, but often accompanied by a simple yet evocative melody. There's some trip hop, some mutated d-n-b, and some electro influences here. Produced by M. Fischer at the Headroom apparently. The cover bears a stamp "Made In Austria." Highly recommended. Jim "Without music life would be a mistake." -- Friedrich Nietzsche--

__________________________On Now___________________________ Readymade = Dynamo F Communications F079CD 0079 22/0181P 1998 "All tracks written produced and mixed by Jean-Phillippe Verdin." This EP is a good take on jazzy, housey d-n-b. The key word here is _melody_. Some cuts take a sentimental, orchestral turn so this is not for everybody. There is some major rumbling included here to activate your subwoofers. This is pretty similar to some of the other F Communications stuff I have...most of it pretty stunning. Imagine a d-n-b version of St Germain! Recommended for those of you who can tolerate melody. Up Next: Analogue Bubblebath 4 Jim "Without music life would be a mistake." -- Friedrich Nietzsche--
