I just wanna say a big PLUR to all my fellow ravers on this list. PLUR to raver gonzi and raver peter becker and raver graham lwtcdi and raver noah pacman and raver chris graves and raver andy solomon and raver lance mcgannon and to anyone else I've forgotten. What this list needs are more glow sticks and ginormous pants and Ecstasy and ads for clothing, and less actual discussion of music. ;-) Anyway, I just want to agree with the review of Isotope 217. Very good jazz fusion stuff—I don't really see the latin influence that rubyjune mentioned, but I'm an ignorant buffoon anyway. It's really funky, inventive, etc. My only qualms are that it's too short (6 tracks, 30 some-odd minutes), and it just doesn't seem to push hard enough—the musicians are talented and creative, but it feels like they're settling for less than they could if they really tried to go crazy. i hate to do this..... but do you all think this would be the appropriate forum for discussing the creation of a mailling list devoted to big pants? i think some possible threads could be: can you fit 2 ppl in yer big pants... should you get flares or straight leg.... do you like the ones w/ the big phat stipe along the side -on the inside or outside? why do ppl still wear normal pants..... is it better to wear a belt or to just let 'em hang around yer waste... who's pants are bigger: skaters or ravers punk kids and big pants: what this means to today's modern raver do you cuff the bottom, cut off the bottom or just let 'em drag well....i'm sure there are many many more threads these are only the very few that come to mind at first..... yours in big pants........ aaron.............................. ;) On Fri, 23 Jan 1998, David Ross wrote:

I'd like to discuss coffee please! Do people on this list like it black or with milk, and how many sugars? Is some coffee considered 'cheesy' and some 'intelligent'? Does the Aphex Twin drink coffee (and should we set up a separate list to discuss the way he take it and the merits thereof?) I would like to make coffee for everybody on this list. I love you all. I would stir it with a really big glow stick. Those of you who do not like coffee, big pants to the lot of you. gb.
