Has anyone heard this? It's two 2x12"s, if I'm not mistaken, remixed by some good-looking luminaries (who I'm of course forgetting now). Anyway--recommendations sought. phil

2x2x12" actually (i.e. it's 2 different 12" double packs) with a CD containing all the tracks to follo in early February. I've only listened to the advance copy I scored once or twice, but it's pretty nice so far. I'll try to do a proper review sometime. Greg

There will be a full length on cd with both 12"s on it, but be forewarned, a version on the Japanese label Toy Factory will have a slightly different track listing (some of the heavier bands, like TechnoAnimal, are included on the Japanese version). np: Luke Vibert 'Big Soup' (a very good release, has finally won my respect for the man) At 04:10 PM 1/20/98 -0500, you wrote:

I got a domestic pressing of the disc. The tracklisting is: 1. The Schematics (Part Mie) (Jamie Hodge remix) 2. Theme From Conquest of the Irrational (remixed by The Prunes) 3. The Breaks (Techno Animal Mix) 4. Conquest of the Irrational (Vads Dad Diversion) (The Herbalizer) 5. Vad Forgive Me (Bullfrog Kid Koala mix) 6. Beyond Thought (Vadim vs. Daniel Pemberton) 7. U.S.S.R. Reconstruction (Oval mix) 8. Abstractions (featuring Starving Artists remixed by Jupiter Jam) 9. Variations in U.S.S.R. (DJ Krush remix) 10. U.S.S.R. Repertoire (Clatterbox mix) 11. Who the Hell am I? (Animals on Wheels remix) 12. Variations in U.S.S.R. (Reflection mix) 13. More Melodies in Vertical Theory (Vadim & the Sycophants) 14. Variations in U.S.S.R. (Silent Poets remix) On the back of the disc there's a very healthy stamp that says, Support the "Stop R'n'B killing hip hop" Movement. Can ya diggit?
