Since we've been speaking of both lloop and shoegazer rockers recently, anyone know what's happening with the brit guitar noise band Loop? Along with My Bloody Valentine, Velvet Underground, and pharmacological additives, they slowly and gently punctuated many long delerious nights of college debauchery for me. I'm really curious as to what they do now. What happened to Loop? -CF

split two ways. Robert Hampson went on to form MAIN with Scott Dowson. Dowson departed (after _Motion Pool_?), but Hampson continues to deconstruct Rock on its most inscrutable subatomic levels, both as MAIN and as CHASM. John Wills joined Neil Mackay and Nigel Webb, forming HAIR & SKIN TRADING CO. - who miraculously metamorphosed into then-'lost' Krautmeisters, FAUST, by their third album (_Psychedelische Musique - Lava Surf Kunst_, Freek 1995) and final 7" ("Untitled", Aquese 1996). Wills is now paired with the incomparable PINKY MACLURE (Slab!, The Puritans, Spleen) as FINGERFOOD ... who are hopefully no longer the world's greatest "unsigned" music-makers. :) but what happened to the third Loop soundhead-dude? and, er..., who was he?
