wow... sounds like it's going to be an exciting year for warp. do you suppose these are all slated for the first part of '98 or just spread out through the whole year? if they're going to get all this stuff out by april or may, i'll be broke! happy, but broke nonetheless. i was wondering about LFO. seems like forever since advance came out. jeez... new stuff by aphex and sqpshr again, too? wow... can't wait for '98! thoroughly excited alan! ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com

all good stuff. while were talking about '98, look for lots of new goodies from skam (see tha skamography for the full deal) and planet mu (see my paradinas site for a bit of the deal), also. if all the artists/labels live up to what they've done, maybe '98'll even beat out this year oh and who's Max Tundra? any relation to rubber johhny or woodenspoon? ;-) and why does the name Marco Passarani ring a bell (synectics comes to mind, tho i'm probably wrong)? btw... no mention of the Boards of Canada album, which (if it ever gets out) will probably be a skam/warp crossover deal np: atom heart: apart (mathew 'herbert' herbert mix)-thanx brian nw (now wearing:): my new afx mask - thanx again brian m*lt s*nt*

Marco Passarani has released material on Alan Oldham's (DJT1000) now-defunkt label Generator out of Detroit and, more recently Marco has been releasing material on the Italian Nature label. I only have one or two of Marco's Generator records and haven't listened to them in awhile but from what i remeber it was trancy techno. I'll have to give it another listen to see if i'm missing something. -->-Lance--- p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states

He was obviously *highly* influenced by Aphex during this period since many of the tracks sound suspiciously like cuts from _Analogue Bubblebath 1_ and _Classics_. He has the aggressive beats with haunting synth wash pattern down well... E r i c F r a n s ----------------------
