I'm quite chuffed with it.

really? It shouldn't bother you then. Buy a karaoke machine which masks out vocals from tracks if it really upsets you.

Well don't buy it then. Plaid make music for themselves, not fussy, narrow minded IDM Nazis. There's plenty of stuff without vocals on out there.

Are you suggesting the likes of Nicolette and Bjork are nothing special?

Try taking your head out of your arse. Do guitars worry you too?

Why does not liking vocals and/or guitars make someone a "fussy, narrow minded IDM Nazi" with their head up their arse? For example, I've heard vocal and/or guitar-based music for 30 years now. I'll well sick of it. I don't feel like I'm a fussy narrow-minded IDM Nazi with my head up my arse, quite frankly. I like a lot of different styles of electronic-based music, from Techno to Trance to Drum n' Bass to Deep House to Goa to Trip-Hop to Downtempo to ... etc. Quite enough of a palette for me, thanks. Your condescention to the previous poster is unwarranted. - Greg (Who wonders why many of the IDM Brits tend to be such a contrary lot)

It doesn't... but it helps.

Don't you think you'll eventually tire of listening to purely electronic music? 90% of any genre is crap. I'm not saying I've got the world's most eclectic tastes, but moaning about a few vocal tracks on the new Plaid album is narrow minded IMHO. Some people need to expand their horizons. Setting rules on what's permissible when listening to new music is daft.

Yes, I only eat ice-cream, but I like all the different flavours...

But it was very satisfying ;)
