Funny, but stupid. Too bad, that the KLF went against everythiung they ever said by releasing another track. I used to lOVE the KLF for their not-so-political statements, but this just pissed me off. The KLF mailing listmembers practically masturbated over this damn song. it sounds like 2 unlimited with shit-like samples thrown in. SHame, they should have made more stuff like Chill Out. Now thats genius. A. Mukerjee Vassar College "Laws are like cobwebs; where the small flies get caught but the big break ones through." - Unknown

Apparently, they're making tons of new stuff, and have been. It's just that none of it gets released...... it's not like he needs the money, and it's too risky putting out something new...... Aaron

Errr.... I just read what I wrote, it doesn't make any sense. I'll sleep on it and write a few things in the morning. Cheers! Aaron

It's a bootleg on Echo Beach consisting of the soundtracks to the "Waiting" video and a longer version of the "Rites of Mu" documentary featuring narration by Martin Sheen (!). I picked up the cd single... 4 tracks, as follow: 1. ***k the Millenium 13:59 2. Acid Brass/What Time Is Love [Version K] 4:31 3. ***k the Millenium [Radio Edit] 4:18 4. ***k the Millenium [Censored Radio Edit] 4:18

Yeah, the first track is a nice medley of KLF stuff, including plenty of versions of the WTIL melody, and some older/rarer samples. The second track just about knocked me off my chair... It's just too funny listening to that brass band belt out the tune I've had drilled into my head so many times. An absolute classic remake. The Radio edit is just the first track cut down to a reasonable time. The Censored Radio Edit is a bit funny as well, as I didn't catch quite a few of the "colorful metaphors", but did catch the louder-than-normal censoring ***BLEEP*** that highlights each one. Well worth my money, this one is. Also worth mention for this particular trip to HMV was finding an Underworld Dark & Long single, with 6 tracks... Includes Thing In A book, Spoon Deep, Dark Hard, Dark Train, and Burts. Now I just need to find the supposed 70-minute version, and my life shall be complete. -- jr

You'd think that anyone who takes their pronouncements as seriously as you seem to would have learned by now: "accept the contradictions".

*shrug* It's an entertaining track, and it's fun to have them back releasing music and acting up in public again. What kind of reaction did you expect people on the KLF list to have?

Oh, I see, you wanted to hear a rehash of an old album instead of a rehash of an old single . . . -- ::: Lazlo (lazlo@swcp.com; http://www.swcp.com/lazlo) ::: Internet Music Wantlists: http://www.swcp.com/lazlo/Wantlists

There's also a 12" (BFFP 146 T) with Panasonic mix: B2. Acid Brass / What Time Is Love [Version P - Royal Oak Mix] (5:28) Panasonic + The KLF seems to be an approriate combination, and this is not the first co-operation, anyway: remember the armoured car with a sonic device loaned to Panasonic by Jimmy Cauty with which they performed back in '95. I think The KLF and Panasonic are somehow kindred spirits in their prankster/art performance sense (I think many people miss the humour behind Panasonic, though)... np: Cult Fiction Royale pHinn the maintainer of pHinnWeb - the old skool, the nu skool and the pHuture skool of Finnish electronic music trerra@uta.fi | http://www.uta.fi/~trerra | http://www.sci.fi/~phinnweb
