If you'd put a gun to my head before the weekend, I wouldn't have been able to tell you who did the original - but I just happened to see it included on some compilation from hell, and it was by Hot Butter. You were all *dying* to know, weren't you ! I * np : Mouse on Mars - Audiotacker

There's also the Global Communication cover of Tangerine Dream's "Love On The A Train" (title may be slightly off)... what was it called - "Maiden Voyage"? Again, totally uncredited. Che

The original composition 'Popcorn' was by Gershon Kingsley, he of myriads of late 60s/early 70s novelty Moog records with Jean-Jacques Perrey. np: Luke Slater - Freek Funk the useless pop trivia pHinn the maintainer of pHinnWeb - the old skool, the nu skool and the pHuture skool of Finnish electronic music trerra@uta.fi | http://www.uta.fi/~trerra | http://www.sci.fi/~phinnweb

Whooo, for one, it's VERY different to Popcorn :-) Gee, I know there are some people out there who really love it, but I find it dense and dark and (please don't shoot me for this!) drum and bass ONLY for the sake of drum and bass. It seems to lack in musical content and colour. Does *nothing* for my head for for my toes. One track - I think it's the final one - redeems it somewhat, but I'm sorry I spent the money on it. *** personal opinion *** I * "She's dirty and sweet she's got a hubcap diamond star halo"

wow. i like the second track ("the beckoning") a LOT but i agree that overall it's not that great. still, his remixes of neotropic and FSOL, and his Oil 12" on EBV prove that Mr Leon Marr is a formidable talent and one to keep a close eye on. -- Jon Drukman jsd@gamespot.com ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Plan: Eat right, exercise regularly, die anyway.
