Have any of you ever heard of Sensurreal? Fucking brilliant. Its trance meeting the percussive mastery of Orbital and Luke Vibert together. if that makes any sense.....Soothing yet, so digitally hard. A. Indeed. One-half of Sensurreal recently recorded a full length album and single for Universal Language Recordings under the name Gerd. The album was called "This Touch is Greater Than Moods" and single, "Vulcan Princess." They're both damn cool, plus the b-side on Vulcan Princess is sorta trippy-hoppy bleep bloop in 3/4 time...plays with the brain. Aaron np: demon 1 (musik aus strom)

A-MEN ! Sensurreal definitely gets my vote for combining the most gorgeous melodies with intricate beats and atmospheres. Every release is as essential to IDM as some of the other Gods of IDM. Period. I don't know which Sensurreal releases you've heard, but recommendations that come to mind are: - The (relatively) recent EP on Op-Art "New Brand Design" - Various EPs on the sadly defunct BMU-label. Some of these tracks were collected on one of the best albums ever: "The Occasional Series". I dare you all to listen to it, esp. "Astral Black", and tell me you're not moved. There's also the work of Gerd, half of Sensurreal, but that has been dealt with by another poster. I'd like to add that Gerd also releases as Metro Dade on the Music Man label. That material is slightly more dancefloor-aimed, but it's right up there with the Sensurreal stuff. Sorry for the superlatives, but Sensurreal is to me what AFX is to others. Otto
