. Klarky Cat: Gumbo 12" (Toko) I listened to this 3-track 12" a few weeks ago at a local shop. I didn't pick it up at the time but i wish i had. It was one of those records you listen to then put away but the tunes bounce around in your head the rest of the day forcing you to go back and purchase it. Unfortunately it was gone when i went back. Anyway, the style was beautifully smooth deep detroit- esque techno-house in the Swag or even Claude Young style. I seem to remember that there were several other producers involved with this KC 12" aside from Chris Duckenfield (RAC), but I don't remember recognizing any of the others involved. I'm not familiar with the Toko label this 12" is on. But i think that the KC 12" was Toko #6 or #7 so there are obviously other releases out there. heheh..... klarky cat and custard gannet are familiar phrases to anyone cool enough to have watched 'brass eye' ;).... luckily my track 'blue tea' (blooty) came out first on spunk jazz .......... so i get more brass eye props Steve /k/./F/
