Doh! I was there too. Where was the rest of the IDM/313 krew? Slackers ...

That was Alan from Plug Research.

Um ... what he said :-)
Dimitry's stuff is a little too formless and chaotic at times, for me.

Yes, the last track was great. Danny has this habit of ruining a perfectly
good rhythmic base with Jazz-esque noodleroni'ing over the top, however.

Yes, just an Ensoniq keyboard/sampler, a (nice) mixer and some pedals ...

Um ... two words: "Detroit Techno".
John's set was classic Detroit. I can now see why Carl Craig wants to put
out his stuff on Planet E. The boy knows his gear and he knows his Detroit.
I encorage anyone on the 313 list to check out John Tejada's releases on
his own Palette label, if you can find any.

Including that 350 quid 12", 69's "4 Jazz Funk Classics".

Indeed. It's a shame more people don't appreciate people trying to do
something different (once again, Lynne and John didn't break even). LA
isn't interested in experimental music or big-name out of town acts, it
just wants its fuzzy pants and pacifiers and candy raver raves. Oh well.
