Howdy.
I have a copy of the 3xLP Saint Etienne remix album, "Casino Classics,"
that I'd like to trade for the 2xCD. The vinyl is in very nice shape, and
although I'm a fan of records, I'd rather have the CD for convenience. I
could also throw in the UK CD5 of "Hobart Paving," which features two
"mixes" by everyone's favorite Cornish Knob Twiddler, Richard James. I'm
not interested (at this point, anyway) in trading this record for anything
else.
(And speaking of Mr. James, I got to meet him after his show in Pontiac,
MI last week. And I wanted to share my impression of him with everyone
here, in case any of you care. He was carrying his own stuff. He didn't
hesitate for a moment to stop and have a word with my friend and me.
Walking/talking with him between the tour bus and the stage door as he
went to fetch more of his "shit," as he put it, he asked me where I was
from. I can't fathom that he'd feign interest in my background at
2:30am...I just wish there'd have been time for more that getting his
autograph, telling him that I'm from "around Detroit," and thanking him
for coming. Too bad I don't really like "Come to Daddy." :) But we did
get to wait for him near the green bear's legs. )
