i was wondering what "noisy idm" works you all would recommend. by noisy i mean something along the lines of maybe panasonic's kulma album or autechre's chiastic slide. i'm fairly new to this genre, so forgive my ignorance. btw, i have to register my dislike with the term idm. it doesn't roll of the tongue easily, and "intelligent dance music" sounds kind of snobbish (is other music not intelligent?). but whatever, i don't really believe in labeling music anyway, and who gives a fuck anyway. thanks for any help. -ali _____________________________________________________________________ Sent by RocketMail. There's lots of dumb, boring, commercial dance music that is made electronically. We don't like talking about stuff like that, it seems. There's nothing that distinguishes it from other copies of itself. It's all the same, over and over again, just in a different order. over and over again, --brett ObIDM: anyone have "advanced alchemy of music"? I'm not sure quite how I feel about this one. It was released in germany in 1992 or 3 I beleive, but I forget the artist. I'll know more later and I'll listen to it somemore. It it definitely worthwhile, though.
